The club in conjunction with The Conservation Volunteers, OVO Energy and #IDIGTREES have just completed phase one of our rewilding plan at Fryth Way.

A planting scheme designed to protect and improve wildlife by planting hedgerow plants including, Hawthorn, Blackthorn and Damson.

Committee member, Alan Smith said

“We are due to start Phase two, which involves the planting of a number of Oak and Maple Sapling’s. The first I will plant in memory of a good friend who passed during the pandemic. We spent many hours at football together and it will be a fitting way of remembering him.”

If anyone else would like to remember a family member or friend in a similar way, please contact the club and come and plant one of our trees.
